So here's the deal, i was given this 1995 buick riviera and i really love the car except for one problem, it skips liek crazy. As soon as i hit about 2500rpms or put any sort of load on it it loses alot of power and skips really bad. this also happens on the highway when i give it a little bit more than a tad of throttle. If anyone can help me with this it would be much appriciated. thanks.

well for starters, is it a supercharged 95? when you say skip do you mean missfire or tranny slip or more like its loosing boost pressure? for starters you can change out the plugs, check and maybe change the wires, get a new fuel filter and a clean air filter. those are all easy/cheap maint. items that you could do to help rule out a few things. also is the check engine light on? trans fluid smell ok? vac lines leaking? just a few starting ideas

It is a supercharged riviera and its deffinately a misfire rather that a slip. well i just got plugs and wires, gonna throw those on and see if it helps. ill try to change the fuel and air filters too. the check engine light is NOT on so thats why its a problem. ill keep you posted with what happens when i do all of the above.

nah its not a burnt out bulb because when the light is turned on when i start the car. but anyways i changed te plug wires and it runs nearly perfect. thanks for the help guys. gonna throw a short ram intake on it and maybe a different supercharger pully.
