I have a 1994 Caprice w/265. I have a fuel line leaking at the send unit. Is there a way to repair just the line or does the whole unit have to be replaced? Also, what years are compatiable? Anyone got this part for sale?

It depends how close to the sending unit it is. It its rotted that bad up there, odds are the sending unit should be replaced anyway. But Take it off, cleran it up and see if the rest of thw unit is still solid. If it is, then douse the unit with water, and use solder to fix the leak or if its far enough away just put a "band aid" or new piece of line on where the leak is.

Probably a junkyard, just make sure they're not rusted (the straps). You should be able to buy a new sending unit at a dealership, or take your chances with a junkyard one as well.

I buy a great deal of my parts at Rock Auto (www.rockauto.com). Their prices seem to be cheaper than the dealer, and usually stock more items than my local parts places. I looked up your vehicle and they carry both the sending unit A C Delco part # 25028955 for $236.79, and the straps are Spectra Premium part # ST186 for $36.79. Check your local phone book's yellow pages for places that sell gas tanks for cars and trucks as they usually also sell the straps, as do many shops that sell radiators.

If you're talking about the sending unit, the same part # appears for both the '94 & '95 Caprice with the 4.3 (265 cu.in.) engine,on the Rock Auto website. So apparently it should work.
