Which tires???

So now that the suspension and steering is finally straightened out Im shopping for tires.
I want a very aggressive tread like a Mud Terrain tire but Im not sure what brand or size.

Last year I installed the Rough Country 2" suspension lift so I have a little more room than stock. For now Im going to stick with the stock rims.

The last thing is I would like to be as cost effective as possible, with Christmas coming and me having two kids and all. I dont want to be like "sorry kids daddy spent all the money for your presents on his new MT's".:icon16:

My personal expierence and opinion would say either BFG All Terrain T/A's or Bridgstone Dueller AT REVO's in a size of 31X10.5X15. Personally if I had the 2 inch lift that is what I would do. They might not be the most cost effective but they are the best aggressive bang for your buck. You can buy some real aggressive Mickey Thompsons but you are looking at well over $200 a tire. I also heard that wal mart sells a pretty good tire. Good luck and let us know!

OK, they're Pirellis, Zero Racing Slicks (but they got treads- ???), 17" x 395mm wide. Don't know the aspect ratio.

@ BlazerBoyLT98 - Thanks. I was wondering about running 31x10.5's on the stock rims. Im a little concerned about the offset. It looks like I only have about an inch before I hit the sway bar when the wheel is cranked to one side.

You know now that I think of it "Racing Slicks" would be a pretty good offroad tire. Talk about self cleaning treads. And at a little over 15.5"wide those will look pretty sweet on a 7" wide rim.:grinno:

The 31's will fit a bllazer lifted 2 inches and should not rub, I mean the ZR2 has them stock and I believe it is ony a 2 inch lift they have. I had the tire place put 31's on mine and they were going to rub a bit if I locked the wheel to either side. You could possibly crank on your torsion bars also to get a little more lift in the front to give you more clearence.

Maybe Ill stop at the local Discount Tire and Belle Tire, since there right next to one another on every corner. Maybe they can through one on and check it out just to be sure.

No I havent. Im thinkin that I will go with the 31x10.5 as long as the tire guys can put one on before I buy the set.

A couple of other things have come up that will delay the tires. I gotta get em before winter kicks in though.

I have 31x10.5 Definity Dakota M/T on my Jimmy. I believe it is a Cooper Tread design. Pep Boys had them for $100 a tire. I had to do some fender trimming to get them to fit since I did not lift my truck.
