integra stock stereo

Hi i was wondering if anybody could let me the know how powerful is the 98 integra ls stock stereo. Im looking to replace the four speakers and keep the tweaters. How loud can the stock system go before blowing..has this happened to any1. Anyway what size speakers do I need for the front..and for the back and any recommendations on what kind I should get...thanks a lot

The stock radios are weak like 25 x 4. If you replace the radio and crank it up much you will blow the stock speakers and the tweeters too. So if your gonna replace speakers, replace the tweeters too. I do believe all 4 speakers are 6.5 inch rounds.

while it is possible to blow the factory tweeters it is doubtful that you will have problems unless you dont know what the hell distorted speakers sound like. 9 times out of 10 your car will have 6.5" all the way around.
