but d*m me if my tire didn't blow OUT on the way to work...
now my pops words when he was changin spares while i was out on the streets up to no good are here to haunt me..."your gonna need to know how to do this one day..." as he tried to convince me to stay wit him.. but i wasn't having that..
and I had looked at the spare in the car before and had even tried gettin it out... but couldn't figure it out and kept puttin it off for a rainy day to figure out..cuz i knew i would have to know one day... that was 5 years ago...
I mean i can change oil and do light maintenance... but hwo the hizzy you get the spare outta the d*m civic sedan ex 2000 model? anyone got any links or pdf on it? of course my manaul is at home.. and i tried searchin on the forum and www.altavista.com but got nothing..
I need some helpe people's...
please let me know how and what to do on this..
changin the tire is the eazy part.. gettin the spare and jackin it up somehow is the hard part...

Maybe I don't understand your question but isn't the spare
under the trunk pad? Like other Civics, Mine is a 98 and the spare is
easy to access once you remove the trunk "floor" which is just
a thick piece of cardboard under the mat.
The jack is either there or buried behind the trunk interior side panel.
There should be instructions there too, just be sure to put the jack
under the crimp where shown, there's a couple of indents on the
crimp where the jack goes.

i'ma check it out again on lunch break... but from what i remember.... I couldn't figure out how to get the jack off of the back trunk..
unless i'm jus that weak.... but how do you un attach the jack from the car?

Sometimes the jack is mounted so you have to unjack it a little to
get it loose. Just unscrew the jack untill it is removeable by turning the
screw. (if yours is like that) Sometimes they just clip in.
If yours is screwed real tight you may have to take the handle, or a screw
driver to start the jack to get it to turn.
Once it's freed it should turn easily by hand, and collapse the scissor part
so you can remove it.
If yours is not like that.......never mind:smokin:
