1994 1.5 honda civic auto tranny, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, cap rotor, all been replaced within the last 2000 miles, the car still runs rough at idle, no engine codes, when u shift into reverse you can feel the roughness especially in the steering wheel, any ideas on where to start looking? also it did pass its smog test in cali.

Makes me thinking about engine mounts. Not sure, though...

when you say "rough" do you mean vibration? It would be hard to tell whether the vibration is a misfire or is just typical older honda vibration. I've seen lots of honda with what you discribe and there was nothing wrong with them, as far as how they ran.

This is the classic "Honda Roughness" that is prominent on many automatic transmission Hondas, it's the most rough in reverse. It's really only a problem on older model Hondas (early 90's), I have a `00 civic and it's barely noticeable, but my friend has a `91 accord and it vibrates like crazy in reverse.
