I Have a friend that is looking at getting one of these cars. She has a couplein mind one has 45000 miles and another has 60000. The one with 60000 is 5000 cheaper and I suggested this one because she is on a budget being a new home owner. My question is can low or mid grade be ran in the non s type car? Is there anything i should look for with these vehicles? thanks

I'm sure you're aware of the transmission problems with these cars. That seems to be the big issue. You'll hear a lot about it but I really think it's a vocal minority, Honda claims some 2% of cars with the 5 speed autos have the faulty 3rd gear clutch pack. I have a 2000 3.2TL with 76K miles and I haven't had a problem... yet; it's just about the best car I've ever owned, I'm very happy with it.
Yes you can run regular or mid-grade in a non-TypeS 3.2TL, I would run premium in a TypeS. I've been running mid-grade (occasionally regular) for the last 3 of the 4 years I've owned my 3.2TL and I've yet to have any driveability or other performance problems.
The '03 3.2TL is a very nice car worth considering, I recommend it.
