what do you guys think about this turbo im guessing it outflows the evo 3 16g but im not sure what are your opinions on this turbo? (my goal is about 300-350 wheel, im still debating between the evo 16g and the 50 trim i threw this in the mix because it looks like the lag might be less then a 50 trim but a little more then the 16g)

Looks like a good turbo. It'll bolt up easily and flows a nice amount of air, I'd say if you want it go for it. And it's not too pricey.

Any info to back that up? Or is that just a personal opinion? I haven't heard anything negative about them.

I dont like bullseyes either. The first like 4 things I ever heard about the company was how shitty their stuff is. I would just get the 50 trim, the spool difference between the two is minimal and trust me, spool means a hell of a lot less to you than you think.

Evo316g are a golden turbo for the beginner. It's pretty easy to get 350 out of one with the right setup. Even on a stock 7bolt.. 50trims will provide you more room to grow.. Both are 11 second turbos matched well with supporting mods. If you really look at it the 50 trim only flows 4-6lb/min more airflow then an evo3

but at what psi levels scott?
It's going to take a lot of psi to hit 350 on an evo 3 16g, but a 50 trim can do it under 20. The extra psi is extra heat, extra headgasket problems, etc. You always want to hit your target hp levels at a boost level that is attainable on pump gas, not insane boost, etc.
the 50trim dominates the evo3 in every way besides spool-up, but the linear power delivery > the evo3's instant on power (that's an opinion)

there's a lot of negative info out there. They're kind of stuck in the middle between the 16g, but they spool closer to a 50 trim and makes power closer to a evo3. Almost 18g, but with even worse characteristics. The latter part is an opinion though.

:1: for the 50 trim.. but if you really only want 300-350... the 50 trim would be over kill IMO because you could just the the V-trim, or 16g... :2cents:

My vote is for PTE, good turbos and hardly beatable price. I am going to get either a SBR or a PTE turbo, probably a PTE though.

:1: i was going to go with a PTE SCM 60... but decided on the Green because 1) its a 50 trim (spool time) 2) its much more efficient 3)can handle 500 WHP! 4)polished, and looks pretty...

but at what boost levels. Again, you want to make your target horsepower with a relatively "middle" amount of boost psi.

good point... but if a 16g can put out 300-350 easy, on a retivily(s/p) good tune... why waste the money on something bigger? its really up to him... i would go with the 50 trim because incase i changed my mind, and wanted more power, i would have pleanty of room to play with... :2cents:

that's just it though, a 16g cannot put out 350 without really high boost and EVERY other bolt-on/in out there. Most people with a evo316g are still below 300.

I'm not argueing with you, but a PTE-fiddy trim will need all the same supporting mods to hit 350 hp that a evo3 will. The only diffrence is the effency that you do it in, and the room of growth allowd by the turbo.
Even if it takes 25psi for the evo3 to hit 350whp, airflow is what will get it their. You "might" get away with a smaller intercooler with the 50trim but thats about all. The possibility of him hitting his goals are zero with the mods he has.
The 50 is no doubt a better turbo then the 16g in every asspect outside of boost threshold and price.. If his goals were 350-400whp my answer would had been 50tim. But realisticly he needs alot more then a turbo to get him their.

i agree with you scottsee i deff no i need other mods (i do have a front mount core in my room waiting on pipe's and claps,,but also i am planning on gettin 550 or 660 inj a 255 f.p and a f.p.r....would you really suggest a wideband is that completely necessary? but also im planning on a tune from victor research in heartford conn they only work on dsm's so with that said i think i should be able to crank out 350+ whp with all thoes mods (after the tune) ++i have a boost guage and m.b.c and a.f gauge havent added them to my sig yet

I'm looking into that for the soon to be mine DSM

Injection systems are Fuc$'n bad ass.. I'm getting the Digital Porgressive Controler from Coolingmist next month along with an upgraded M15 injector for my setup. No more guestimating meth percentages per combustin cycle!
