Hey guys. I have a 94 GP with a 3.1. It has the two fans and the one one the left (looking at the nose) does not come on. the car does not over heat but it will get pretty hot.
I swapped the relays while the other was running and it worked with the other elay.
I pulled the fan and put power to it briefly from the battery and it kicked on instantly.
It seems that it should work. Is there something i may be missing, or do I need to start chasing wires?
thanks for the help.
Peace,
Hallboy

Yes, you are going to have to start checking wires it sounds like. You could try turning the key on with the engine off, and also have the AC on, so the fans kick on. Have the left fan unplugged and check for a good ground and a good power.

I will play with it in couple of days. My A/C compressor is not kicking on either. I think (hope) it is just the relay for that too. This car has been owned by young kid that new very little about cars and had alot of stereo equip hooked up. I will start digging.
Thanks for the help.

the passenger side fan (on the left as you are standing in front of the car looking at the engine) is an auxillary unit. It will only come on if the temp exceeds 240, or when the AC is in the MAX position. If the A/C doesn't work (or is low on refridgerant), then setting it to MAX won't make the aux fan come on either.
