Never Do A Rhd Conversion!!!

Ok.. so all I have to say is don't do it.. its not worth the time and energy!!!! Problems! im telling you.. first off.. the wires are not just swaped to the other side but some of them are still on the right side!! so there just scrambled!!!!:banghead: and the the fire wall looks exactly the same right.. but the part above it looks like it at first right :grinno: but it is not!! and it can not be drilled out.. trust me i have been looking for about 2 hours now.. and I honestly dont think it can be done! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Guys, I tried to make my mail truck LHD. Yes I know all the mail boxes are on the right hand side, but I wanted to be different so my mail truck would be bad ass!!

Ok ok.. I over reacted a little about the swap.. i was frustrated but after a good night sleep the problems where solved.. (hammer.. welder.. and mini saw helps a lot!!)

I would admit, geting pulled over by a cop in a RHD is fun. But when passing on the highway it sucks ass. I drove my freinds JDM Type-R Intergra RHD from Bridgeport to Dallas and I hated it.

I don't know why you would want to. I would find it hard to shift with my left hand. Also passing is very dangerous in a RHD car.

Not up until now, we just had a new law come in for emissions, but that law only effects the new cars coming into our country. 02 sensor.......... Can't remember I'll have a look

did ur front clip come with a downpipe? if so, you could just check to see how many bungs are welded on the dp. with your RHD conversion, are you using the jspec ECU?

yeah.. it only has one bung.. that why i was wondering if it only like that in japan.. or what.. yeah i am using every thing from the clip.. so i am going to run the jspec.. does any one know about the jspec ecu? is it bacily the same? I mean i hope they dont have like fuel cut out at lower boost or anything.. haha i guess i will find out.

Im sorry Im sorry haha I have to say this about the 4g63, CRANK WALK hahahahahaha PWND, Dude I have owned 2 GSTs one which laid down a impressive 520 FWD HP, and that was built with a 60 trim... and right now my BPU++ VR4 is much faster (which is for sell)... Dont mess with the experienced. Trust me Im the Mechanic for MVPMotorSports (largest supra distributor in USA)
so I know my shit, I have built cars that your little car would never even be considered a match for. I was hands on with the first MKIV to ever brake the 8 second mark (we hold the record). Hell my new Supra with just 4 bolt on mods is already puting a little over 400 RWD HP.

Oh and they still do make the 6G73 dumb ass... its called the Eclipse GT... any V6 that mitsu make is a 6G73 (or 6G74, same dif), not only that but any newer (1985+) V6 dodge is 6G73. Hell they where even bold enough to put it in the V6 chargers (not the V8 hemi, the lower end model). Plus any Fork lift or anything Mitsu makes has the 6G73... thats their prized engine...

Yeah there is a speed limiter, but it can be easily "fixed" by the snipping of one wire. A little resaerch should net the correct wire to snip.

I think its 112mph if I remember correctly my old GTO had a speed limit of 180kph. My car has this black box on the drivers side put on it to disarm the Govener.

Only the 6 speeds had the shorter gearing. And if I remember right they still can go to at least 180mph.

the jdm tack only goes to a 180 kmph. any ideas on how to over ride the governor?

well.. I am putting the dash in tomorrow.. and sunday i am going to put the motor in..Im getting excited!!! after all that i still have to do all the wiring that goes to the back of the car.. I am a little scared actualy.. Wiring is deff not my thing.. Are there any differances in the wiring on a 91 and a 92? or is there any place to find a wire diagram of the jspec harness??

I was able to see it, and nice progress! That wiring is going to be a bitch though. Also, I'd get someone who really knows their welding to patch up those welds.

i agree, it IS weird how the RHD GTO uses that bar across under the dash to push the brake booster. i guess there just wasn't enough room for the brake booster on the right side of the engine bay.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of much, if you are just talkign the back half of hte car. However, I'd be wary of blowing fuses and shorting out stuff.
