95 cutlass ciera----right turn signal lights all work fine---no blown bulbs---however---when flipping up the turn signal all that is indicated on the dash is a solid right arrow light----the right turn signal will not blink. Does anyone have any experience with this, and if so what is the remedy. Thanks

welcome to AF !
I'd say its the flasher/blinker for the right side,
or your turn signal switch could be bad.
The hazard flasher is located in the convenience center, under the dash, on the left side kick panel.
The turn signal flasher is installed in a clamp attached to the base of the steering column support inside the car.
Replacement is made by unplugging the old unit and plugging in a new one.

I believe there is only one flasher that controls either side.
If the signals on the left side also don't blink then the the flasher would be the problem however if they do work then you might have a bad connection at the bulb sockets.
What happens if you use the 4 way flashers?

all of the lights work---4 way and all---the only exception is the right blinker----lights come on ---just wont blink----the left side works fine---talked to an auto shop this am----was told there are two bell looking flashers that control the blinking under the dash---one for the left and one for the right----does this sound right the car is not here now so ill have to wait to try to find it---but was told the part is really cheap-----

Turn on your 4way when you are looking for it, you will here it clicking. Just a small round flasher about the diameter of a quarter.

There is only one flasher for the turn signal lights. The other flasher is used for the hazards, and is located behind the glovebox. But since your four-ways work, forget about that. The turn signal flasher is located inside the ash tray assembly, its actually clipped to it. So remove the ashtray, and the four 7mm screws and pull it out, you will see it clamped to the ashtray. But I doubt thats your problem since the left ones work fine. Have you actually taken out the rear bulb assembly and seen them light up? I would suggest removing it to be sure they all light up.

Yes I guess you should check all your bulbs on the right.
If those are ok and you hav power at the sockets,
then I'd say your multifunction/turnsignal switch is bad.

You probably have this solved by now..but I have an answer...
My car has done this many many times and usually one light is not working...but it's not always obvious.
I actually have my right turn signal doing that right now. At first, I was completely baffled because my four ways worked, my brake lights worked and the light comes on, but doesn't flicker. So, parked in front of a glass window I was looking at my lights and realized that the bottom right light wasn't going on, but the left side does. However, the top right one does light up. Check to see if you have a light that isn't obvious out.
Of course I have a 1996, but this has been a recurring problem.
