Help window trims

Hey,
I need 1 piece of advice when doing window trims i can never get it right, my line always looks uneven how do i prevent this and also does spraying the trim have a better result cos i use paint n brush and it never looks good, help!

If I understand right you mean the black trim (window rubbers) on model cars?
I always spray mine for the best result with satin black and a touch of matt black.I feel matt black on its own never looks right,but with a touch of satin black as well it looks more realistic.I mix 3 parts satin black to 1 part matt black and spray it through the airbrush.
The most important thing is the masking out.I always use Tamiya masking tape which I cut down into fine strips with a steel ruler and a fresh scalpel blade.I suppose they end up no more than 1mm wide.This enables the tape to bend easily and follow any curves.Once I have masked the main edges out I mask out the rest of the car with the largest Tamiya tape 18mm I think it is to prevent any black overspray going onto the rest of the car.
The other way to do it is to place the larger tape around the window burnish it down and carefully cut around the trim with a sharp scalpel blade.Peel away the excess and it should leave the trim nicely masked out ready for spraying.Personally I don't have much sucess with this method myself but I know others use it to good effect.
Unless you have a very steady hand brush painting them I find very hard to do and when I have tried it they always turn out wonkey.Hope this helps you out.
