After watching a few other making these I decided to start work on mine, I bought it as a starting point for a bike I have wanted to build for years.
So far I have custom made the front forks and modified the rack of the frame to suit the longer forks, also modified the tank to lower it down.
I hope to make a load of extras on the lathe when I get some more aluminum in the next few days.

I too have started to plan for a chopper build. The rims on this particular kit is not my favourite but I do think this will be another stunner build.

I don't think the front fork is stretched long enough :grinno:
I'm looking forward to seeing what you machine for this, if you're going the chromed out route (or even if not), polished aluminum will look amazing. I also think it's cool to see someone stretching the fork where I shortened mine. Looking forward to progress here!

Nice start, I see you stripped off the crappy kit chrome on most of it.
I started mine this past weekend, so far I cut the barrels off the engine, they will be satin black or the frame color. Most of it has been de-chromed and I'll use Alclad on it.
I'll be replacing most of the fork assembly with aluminum sheet for the triple trees and turned aluminum rod for everything but the lower struts. I'll be assembling the fork using 0-80 allen cap screws.
Does anyone have the Crusader kit? My forks came with NO provision to mount the front wheel, so I gotta make something up.

The tins and frame are painted Triumph Lucifer Orange (which I can supply if anyone ones some) and 2 pack cleared , now just need to design some graphics.
I have machine various bits in aluminum with more to follow.
Thanks for looking

Nice paint! Is that ALCLAD chrome on the motor? I've never managed to get it that 'chromy'...

That paint looks fantastic! Such shine. The chromed parts and the belt drive are also very nice. Will be really fun to see how this ends. What are your thoughts on the graphics?

That color is amaizing! Love the open primary, very old school with that raked out front end. Some old school green pearl graphics on that orange paint would my my choice. I'm sure whatever you come up with will be awsome, great job so far.

Cool bike, Hiroboy! I like your choice of color, and the stretched look is definitely working out nicely. I can't wait to see more progress! :)
