I bought a taurus a couple months ago to drive as a beater. I got it for 650 bucks so it isn't anything real special. Anyway, I noticed like 2-3 weeks ago that the fluid kept getting drained out of the power stearing and I kept getting puddles under my car, so of course being lazy I just kept buying bottles of power steering fluid and filling it up when it got low. Well after 2 weeks of people complaining about me leaving puddles in their driveways, my car smelling like "cancer", and $16 in power steering fluid bottles later... I decided to "fix" the problem. I took a quick look and found the pinhole and it was freakin gushing out. So I grabbed the closest roll of duct tape and began wrapping. In the end I had a huge silver hump on one of my power steering hoses. It stopped gushing and now only drips so in my opinion the operation was a sucess. You know I never really believed that duct tape can do anything but, now I'm a believer.

That's all the proof we need. FORD= Fix Or Repair Daily. Sounds like you got that part of it right. :)

You should put a zip tie on it also. Zip ties FTW!

lol
gsxfan, you cant complain for $650. my first car, a 90 talon, had a mad power steering leak. me and my friend tried every type of hose under the sun EXCEPT the correct type of line to try and replace the bad hose, but it was always blowing out and the cheap clamps we had never held. I learned the art of driving, in sun rain snow ice whatever, with no power steering. lol that was my first major dsm problem.

I'd have to agree with zip ties. Currently, it's keeping the headlight on my RX7 on, wheee!
