Xmods Evo

I have a few questions about the new Xmods Evolution line. I have been thinking about purchasing one of them for a while, and would like to gather some information before making the final decision. First, are there any differences between the original Xmods and Evolution version? Second, is there a difference between the trucks and the cars in the Evolution line? Third, is an Xmod the right RC for me? I'm 14 years old, and not a mechanical engineer. I'm steering towards an Xmod because they have seemingly simple mechanics. The price is also a bonus, I have $60 right now. I'm looking for a simple rc car that I can play with around the house every few days. I would also like to avoid ordering the car online, or having to travel 3 hours just to buy the car. The question is, should I just take a 10 minute drive to the local radioshack and pick up an Xmod, or hold out and save my money until I can buy a more satisfying model.

NOTE: A Mini-Z isn't a viable option for me because the nearest dealer is a 5 hour drive, and ordering them online is a hassle.

Well, I was going to suggest a Mini-Z but I just read your last line.

Not to come down on your choice but.. Save your money.. Xmods are nothing but wannabe-r/c and will never be anything more. Sure, they make look cool with there all aluminum hop ups, leds, body kits, rims and wings.. But when you actually use them they're nothing but a dissappointment. And when you start wanting to mod them they become money pits.

But, It's your money, and your choice on how you wish to spend it. I was just trying to give you a little insight before you blow (waste) 60$ on an xmod.
