Any extreme engines/f-bodies on here?

I just bought a 94 z28 and have plans to build a serious streeter out of it someday. Found a 406 stroker kit in jegs that would make a good start. A buddy of mine has a 93 with a 383 stroker and a big shot of nitrous, a 9" rearend and slicks for the weekend.
I was just wondering what you guys have done with your lt1's and ls1's.

I can't think of any real extreme cars here.
But I am not thinking that hard.

Doesn't mean it is extreme. I could have gone much further than I did. But I wanted to stay mostly a street car.
I could have gone solid roller, 13.5:1 compression, bigger cam, badder heads, and been looking at 600 RWHP. But then it would have been a race car.

Go-cart. Only mine would make that kinda power.

I knew it was you. Compared to a stock LT1/LS1, 530 rwhp is extreme. That's a stock LS1 plus all the power I'm making out of the 3.8.
Your car is far from a race car, but it's pretty extreme to be a street car. Just my opinion though...

The only thing that comes close to extreme for a street car is the clutch.
You would have to ride in it to know I guess. Idle isn't bad at 925 RPM's, pretty smooth acceleration, no brake fade from lack of vacuum, etc.

It's a twin turbo/blow through that I'm building. Detuned, it's good for 800 h.p.

I don't know if I want to build extreme streeters now that I'm getting into motorsport racing. But I may do some stuff here and there, now that there's 2 camaros, 2 240s and one talon tsi in my club.

It all depends on someones definition of extreme. I know with my car I want it to remain streetable and will never under any circumstance put a cage in my car. I could rip into it again and lower the compression ratio and pump up the boost but I am only looking for around 600 RWHP and hopefully be able to get one run in the 10's before I am thrown out of a track.
Extreme to me is these guys I see on some other boards running 8's. Also though, I wouldn't go any bigger than 396 cubes on a LT1 block I know a few have done 400 + but I personally wouldn't do it , besides you can build some monster power out of a 396.

i saw an LS6 or something like that build where they had a 4inch bore and 4inch stroke and it was a 402, they made something like 580 horses with the mufflers and also did it with 91 octane pump fuel. it was this month's chevy high performance magazine i believe. it will probably be on their website in the next month or so. it was their old school versus new school buildups.

635 crank with mine.
LS2 or LQ9 block for the 402. Those blocks have the 4" bore already.

My LT1 is in the sig. I wouldn't call it extreme but the thing is built for a supercharger, which will hopfully be going on the end of next summer. After it's boosted I guess you could call it extreme, at least for a street car.
