P0742 Torque Converter Circuit Stuck ON

I noticed that the van began to shutter as I slowed down, then the Service Engine Soon light came on. The code is P0742. I made it home, but it was shuttering a lot. Since then I have taken it out a couple times around the blocks, no long drives, and haven't noticed any shuttering. I had it hooked up to a scanner again and driving away from the auto parts store the light went off and the van is driving normally. I'm not sure if I should take it out on a longer drive so that the van can warm up. Has anybody else had this problem? thanks.
