raced my friends 5.0

Well i thought that it was finally the time in my dsm life that i would put myself against a built v8 89 mustang 5.0. My friend brent has done a lot of work himself on his car including injectors, intake exhaust that shoots flames by stalling hte engine and routing plugs into tips, gears that are insane through 3rd gear and some other mods. We have been good friends for a while and until last night never really considered our cars against each other. So.... one of our old buddies suggested that we give it a go and that i get 2 car lengths on him. I didnt want that so we started even. I went into it thinking that i would pull through first then hed rip through second and blow by me until his gear ratios held him back up higher in around 3rd. It turned out we were even off the line (he hooked up really good) and he pulled about 3 cars by the end of second. Third came and i pulled up a little but for the most part we were even from 3rd on. We only went to about 85 which was fine because we knew he owned me by then. Later on he was surprised that he didnt walk all over me just becasue he has twice as many cylinders. Im kinda disappointed but when i think about riding with him in his car i realize just how crazy his car is. It kind of makes me want to get a 5.0 just to have instant throttle response and be able to drift in it.

Boo V8 drifts. Haha, I'm kidding, but sounds like one hell of a run! How much horsepower are both cars approximately running?

I have no idea really for my car, maybe around 240. But his is pretty heavily modded so whatever stock hp is i would say around 30-40 above that plus different gears so the bottom end is a lot faster.
