It seems like my 95 Escort stutters when I'm braking. I'm not sure if it is caused by the brakes, or not. It happens in all types of weather. It feels like it is in the front end. Anyone have any thoughts?

Have the drums and roters check along wit the pads and shoes.
Usually a warped front rotor.
But describe the strutter a little more.
Can you just feel a pulse or a steady kicking on brake pedal?
And if ABS brakes have them checked to.
Any brake lights on?

When you say it stutters, do you mean the brakes are grabbing or otherwise working abnormally, or do you mean that the engine does not return to idel properly?
