Supra or Lancer?

Okay i need some opinions, which do you think is faster a supra or a lancer? Which is better for mods, and which has better specs, and so on...

are you kidding I love only american cars but got to give 100% props to all the 1000hp supras out there. there rear wheel drive and the only aisan car I have seen that you can get into the 9's with street tires. the front wheel drive ones can't even past 11.9 with out $1,000,000.
(one of my people have a 3900 pound lincoln mark VIII with just a mustang cobra intake and vortec supercharger he gets 11.9's in the 1/4)

most people can only think of speed tv. and the world rally races but don't realise that 300 bhp thing there coming out with has nothing in common with the high tuned WRC version . the only thing the new lancer would do with even a stock supra is gaze longingly at its sexy ass.

Just to clear it up just in case ppl are thinking of the Lancer OZ Rally edition which only has 120hp...I think HE meant the Lancer Evo VII that has around 300HP~...that's more approriate...the Supra TT has 320HP stock...
Faster...well...the Evo VII is more setup for acceleration rather than top end like the Supra TT is...
Better to mods...well the Supra TT's can handle like 600-650HP on stock internals...so they respond very well
But anyways...these are 2 different cars that really shouldnt be compared...
Supra is great for straight line...Evo VII is great for curves & rally
Faster...well...the Evo VII is more setup for acceleration rather than top end like the Supra TT is...
Better to mods...well the Supra TT's can handle like 600-650HP on stock internals...so they respond very well

OK what do you want to do? Drive incredably fast on long easy turns or road track races, or do you want a car that can stay a top speep in 180 degree turns sideways? is top speed your thing or just all around drive abiltiy. if it is all about HP and running from the cops go with the Supra, if you really want to get down on dirty , i mean muddY, sandY, dustY all the other "Y's" sideways, frontways, leftways and all the other "ways" get the LAN EVO.

if you want a highway racer, then the evo is not for you since it only tops out at like 140. and it slows down alot after 100. but it will take turns like a monster and you'll probrably kill yourself in that car cause that car's steering is sooo sensitive.

I think the Supra's alot better than the EVO... IMO it looks a HELL of alot better, the EVO doesnt look much more attractive than a civic. It's boxy while the Supra has some nice curves. The Supra comes with 320+hp stock, and does the 1/4 in the low 13s. I've seen 900hp Supras on a STOCK bottem end, that engines bulletproof. The 2JZ-GTE responds to engine mods really well, with about 2-3k of mods (BPU) you will have 400+rwhp and u would be able run 12s in the 1/4
I would take the Supra TT no doubt, but it comes down to your decision, and what you prefer.

Also, I talked with a guy overseas who has a lan evo 6 and he said his car topped out at 150, so in reality, it's only 5 mph slower than the supra. And if you want a quarter mile terror, the evo is geared for short bursts of acceleration like 1/4 mile.

Most people remove the speed limiter.... I know people that have gone 180mph in their Supra TT I think it's as easy as pulling a fuse
Pretty much every car has a limiter nowadays... the EVO does too, people just remove it
The Supra has crazy top end, you can tell from the 1/4 mile runs, they usually trap like 20mph (well alot) faster than people running the same ET lol
Most races go alot longer than a 1/4 mile.... but if your only goal is running 1/4 miles at a track, the EVO is good because they are set up for quick acceleration (with not much top end) and AWD will launch alot better than RWD.
I've seen Supras beat Diablos, Lamborghini Marcuilagos (Sp), all types of Ferraris, Vipers, Grand Nationals, etc. They really are monsters, but from a dead dig they're harder to launch, a single turbo Supra can pretty much take out anything from a roll.

uhhh sorry to say gangstarr but a evo runs 12's on the 1/4 STOCK. LOLZ. its a monster from 0-100mph. but like i said before it has no top end. but that doens't mean it can't have top end. you just gotta tune it for more top end.

Low-profile and sporty suspension of the Supra has the advantage while the stiff, solid-built suspension technology of the Lancer has what it takes to be competitive.

The Lancer, well... stack a few Sparco Sportsplugs, double titanium headers, high-tension wires, HP Comp-boxes, K&N Turbochargers, Air filter, a lightweight body-kit,sports brake kit and a good suspension followed by an RSR or %Zigen performance muffler, the Lancer would be morphed as a monster on the road...of course with a cool paintjob.

I like the Lancer better..its cheaper, more fuel-efficient, flexible, more common on the highway, safe drivability (Front-wheel or 4WD), and is already tested... Great Japanese technology. The Supra's good, but its nothing more than a dream to the financially-challenged and financially-unstable yuppies.

I never said they didnt.... i said the same thing in my 2nd post, the EVOs are made for quick acceleration in the 1/4 low end, because they're rally cars.
They run 12.9s not like mid 12s or something... you can safely say low 13s or more without a professional driver.
A BPU supra runs low 12s to high 11s for a well tuned BPU... thats with only $2-3k of mods
