Airbag light flashes

We're installing a remote start in a 2004 Taurus. Everything seems fine but now the airbag light in the dash is flashing once, then 8 times. Does anyone know what this means, and more importantly, how to correct it? We tried to disconnect the battery to reset the computer, but that did nothing as far as the flashing light goes, and it still flashes :(

You are seeing a Lamp Fault Code of 18, per the service manual:
The air bag electronic crash sensor (ECS) module supports features which are not used in Taurus/Sable vehicles. The wiring harness pins used by the ECS for these features are normally left disconnected in Taurus/Sable vehicles. If the ECS detects a connection to Pin 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 16, 18, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26 or 27, it will store a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1871, B1877, B1878, B1879, B1881, B1882, B1883, B1884, B1885, B1886, B1889, B1890, B1901 or B1941 in memory and flash a lamp fault code (LFC) 14, 17, 18, 25, 27, 41, 46 or 47.
Possible Causes
An unexpected feature present could be caused by:
l a wiring harness fault causing connection to a normally unused ECS pin.
l an internal ECS module fault.

Thanks Rod. We fixed it. Turns out it was caused because the radio was not plugged in  It seems to be OK now. We've had the radio out many times before without this happening, so all I can figure is that it's seeing the Securilock bypass module for some reason when the radio is not plugged in.
