HELP!!! I recently bought an 84 E150 that originally came with a V6 but a few previous owners before me evidently swapped in what I was told was a cobra 302...now, im not very knowledgeable when it comes to specific engines, but i'm wondering if there is a way I can specifically find out which engine this is and where from it came? can anyone help me? i'm planning on doing this van up a bit, and I want to do some engine work, but i really would like to know which car this came from...

btw, in case anyone is wondering why i'm posting this in a mustang forum, it's because im told this engine came from a mustang cobra...

Can you see the intake manifold? If it was directly out of a cobra than it will likely say cobra on it.

People will always say it came from a Corba, its a selling point ;)

im told that it is a edelbrock high riser manifold, never did see cobra written on it anywhere, but it is pretty cruddy, can't see well...and as for the code on the bolck, that's exactly what i'm trying to find out, the location of where that code would be...as I said, it's pretty dirty under there, not quite sure exactly where to look for it...the location of the code would be of great help
