Anybody have a source for 1/24 scale steelies? (modern ones, anyway...) ;) Probably not what most of us think of when looking for model car wheels.... :p

This is close enough, just drill like 10 holes in each wheel:rolleyes:

I was thinking it'd be great if I could find aluminum disks with concentric ripples, and then just drill the holes and paint... Don't know where to start looking...

Maybe you can get a Lancer Evolution RS model by Fujimi. The box art has steelies, but don't know what's inside.

Those things look like the Honda 13 inch 4X100 steelies. Are they off your Accord Jay? Those wheels are very similar to the Tamiya Nissan skyline 2000GT-R Hard Top. kit (24194) Its as close to modern steel wheels that I've seen.

The best I can come up with, so far , has been a flat-tire scene... Perhaps too much drifting... ;)

You're a drifter?! Wow, I didn't know that!! Sweet~
Intresting idea, I guess you can also use other small wheels instead of steelies if you can't find any.

Don't you just love it when old threads are brought up and push some very useful and informative thread off the first page? :p

I thought this topic was old, long live resurrecting old threads! It'll always happen because we are all so boring to think of a new one to make. Anyway, what steelies are you talking about Pman? You mean the chrome ones? I may be interested in that if so, got any deep dish ones? or any Dragways?
