yes you will need the ecu, if you try www.newcelica.org classifieds you may find some people who've replaced theirs with the apexi pfc and they would be willing to sell. i am going to put a pfc in mine shortly but it probably wouldnt be until the new year. i will have one available then.

shouldn't be, i personally have never dont anything with a celica, but the concept should be the same...ive seen lots of a4 to manual mustangs and its nothing really complicated. you need the cables and center console with shifter, but if you grab a gt-s motor just search for one with a tranny attached. and dont forget you will not only need a ecu from a gt-s but a manual one at that

You would be better off selling your car and buying a GT-S 6 speed. From reading your posts, it seems like you don't have much mechanical know-how. So in that case..labor you should factor at about $80/hr. On something like this, I'd factor at least 20 hours of labor. A standard clutch job is about 7 hours. You taking that job, then adding running the shift cables, installing a shifter, installing pedals, installing axles, probably some custom wiring... 20 hours might be a low estimate of that job. Any time you're talking custom or conversions, you're talking BIG money in labor.

junkyard? or classifieds...find someone with a wrecked one they are parting out. there are lots of ppl who do auto to 6spd swaps, the parts are out there you just have to have patience and keep your eyes open
