Using normal Car Paint?

i thought about using normal car paint,it is much easier to get then tamiya colors for me an i can get a lot off more colors / let the color mix i want.
i don'T know,maybe everybody here works with this methode,only me,the stupid idiot didn'T realized or not.dunno.

When I lived in the U.S., my preferred paint was Dupli-Color automotive spray. There're so many metallic colors to choose from, paint is strong, applies smoothly and dries fast. The only drawback was that one can is too big for one car, and because of unique color, I don't feel like to make a different model of the same color.
Also, solid color, such as black, is very hard, which is ideal for polishing. It creates deep wet mirror-like surface without clear overcoat.

Did you use the primer????

My dupli color looks like an spider web when it's on body.....:(

i have to search one color for 2 or 3 different cars.for 3 cars i think

i have a silvia s13,s14,s15 kit and they have to get same style:)

I found that the ones i used here were very hard to use due to there paint flow which is very fast in paint volume and can cause plenty of runs in the paint. I guess with a bit of practice you could get some good looking kits

i practice the flow on a old porsche body which broke months ago.then i try to paint the silvias.so elts go shopping now

Make sure you try the paint first on some sprue of the same kit. Sometimes there's a reaction between the paint and the plastic, and yes the use of primer is advisable for the same reason.

painted chassis parts.the color is superb,it llooks good and works out fine.i have a new favorite cloro brand.bought at local hardware store.the silver i bought (400 ml,7 bucks) is metallic,a great color :)

it ran around the rear wheel arch,i took a tree and shaped the color away.,the rest run smoothly out,it looks good now.first to coats are on.

looks good,nice effect paint,real metallic,looks pretty cool:D
