Hey guys,
how are you? I was just wondering i brought my car into the local nissan dealer two fridays ago,It needed what was supposed to be a 45 minute max recall, to reprogram the computer, The guy doing it messed up and now they need to get me a new ecu, they say that there is none in canada and ordered one from nissan the same day it has now been two weeks, I still am driving afucking peice of shit 2006 special edition sentra i hate it automatic:(. Anyways does anyone have any idea how long a realistic amount of time to wait for a new ecu would be iam near the end of my rope and i want to lose it on these guys, what should i do?

Seriously man.. some dealers are terrible about repairs. I would call and let them know you are displeased. They very well may have forgotten about your car like a dealer did to mine once. I didn't have my car for a week and when I finally called, even though I was driving around their rental car which they didn't seem to care much about, they said my car had been done for days. Call them.

have an attorney place a call to the dealership letting them know that it has been given legal attention, you'll get your car back in a couple hours

When my car was at the dealer we did burnouts in a loaner champaign collored camry at every stoplight. We also ramped it once and did a few donuts to boot. Payback is a bitch... lol

they shouldnt have a problem pulling a ecu from another car on the lot to get you out of the way, then put the backorder part on the car they parted, they just suck

Turns Out that they still havent fixed my car, I asked them to pull one from another car, they say that they dont have one and that theuy did a search of all nissan dealers in canada and nobody else has one either, I also called my lawyer and was informed that since they gave me a car to drive there was not to much that I could do at this point. I called nissan Canada on the ninth and they are still doing a investigation. I am at a total loss right now, I dont know what to do and Iam stressing hard about this. Iam only twenty years old and I work hard to afford this ride, Iam pissed!

Grab the bull by the horns. Go down there personally and raise hell. Don't ask questions, tell them what to do. Inform them that they WILL fix your car and they WILL have it done in a week or you are going to the papers and the better business beuro. Tell them that you did not pay your hard earned money to drive a rental. Explain to them that you or any of your family members will never do business with them again. Don't be passive at all. Good luck.

if youre making payments on a car you dont get to drive i dont think giving you a cheap ass rental is fair compensation, they need to make your next car payment for you at least

Eh... I wouldn't go around saying you have a fast car. I usually describe mine as quick. I think until you get in the 13's it's not a fast car. I have a spec v(with CIA) too, btw, so I'm not just trying to bust your trip. Spec V's are VERY fun to drive though. Have fun man.
