I need some help. I'm trying to hook up 3 pairs of 2-way speakers, 1 on the dash, 1 on the doors & 1 on the rear (ext cab, behind headrest), of course the stereo only has front & rear. What's the best way to get this accomplished. Would appreciate any ideas.
Thanks, Ric

the easiest way is to get 2 RCA y-splitter cables to attach to either the front or rear RCA outs from the deck.

:)
Thanks for the help. Let me make sure I understand it correctly. I would have either 4speakers on the front channel or 4 speakers on the rear channel. Am I reading it corectly?
Thanks, Ric

No you need 1-4 channel amp and another 4 or 2 channel amp, using the y connectors will turn one RCA end into 2 so one to one set of channesl and the other for the other set. The connectors are at radio shack for like 3.50.

I think he wants to put all these speakers on the headunits' built-in amps. That is a bad idea.

OK Paul, I'll take your advise, thanks. I don't really need an AMP for this vehicle, and decided to just use two sets of speakers. After seeing your last response, it makes sense.
Thanks again,
Ric

those built-in amps aren't really that powerful .... a good 50 watt X 4 amp would make a pretty good difference in sound quality.
