ECU question

The ECU on my 95 stratus 2.5L is not working properly i was told that i could get it flased or something. Is this true and if so would it be easier to just get one from a junk yard. and if i do get one from a junk yard does it have to be from the same year or just the same size motor. can anyone answer these questions for me please.

yes controllers can be "flashed" dealers use a drbIII. What is the problem?
