when making sweeping right turns on the highway. Anyone else experience this. I'm thinking left front bearing assembly?? Quites right down once the wheel is staighten back out. Also experiencing some creaking noise when braking at stop signs. May not be related though.
02' TB 58k miles.

First check the tires for "scalloping" or rough tread edges, this can sound like a bearing.

That's what I thought first but they look fine. Then I checked for rubbing. I'll rotate & check pressures and see if it changes.

Could be a CV joint, wheel bearing, or the inner bearing carrier assembly on the front right side (bolted to engine oil pan). The front left inner bearing is inside the front differential, never heard of any problems with that one thankfully.

I don't notice any noise on tight turns which would indicate CV joints.
Only notice the grawl on interstate ramps (righthand only lefthand sweeps are quite).
I'm thinking left front wheel bearing. I should be able to feel that with it jacked up, right.

You may feel some play if bad, but maybe not, if you have all 4 wheels safely off the ground and in 4wd you may be able hear some noise as the front wheels turn.

Thanks for your help.
Crawled under it tonight to see two things. The right inner CV joint has already dumped alot of grease out. Looks like it has been there awhile. The left side has fresh grease splater around it.
How I'm thinking right CV joint noise when lifting right side during right sweeping turns on highway. Since that side lost it's grease awhile back.
Still why no klunking in tight turns...because it's not driving with the front??

Even with the boot torn that does not necessarily equate to the type of noise you describe, only on tight turns is where they usually emit a loud clicking sound ( outer cvv only), based on your description it still sounds like a wheel bearing or tire issue.

I'll take in to a pro on saturday to see if he can tell what it is.
The reason I was thinking CV is that I had SuspensionMaxx spacers put in the front end in Jan and some people said the stock CV may not last long due to the lift and hard stock boots.
I jacked it up tonight and everything ( wheel brgs., shafts ) felt tight. A little CV endplay.
Oh, tires are like new.

Looks like the wheel bearing assembly and stablizer bar links. Ouch, the bearing assembly is a pricey item....that nobody seems to stock.

Typical wheel bearing/hub r/r is $500/side at a GM dealership or about half of that at an independant shop with aftermarket parts.

Just got it back after the bearing hub install. Can't believe the dif. Front end is tight once again. Big change. Didn't even feel loose when checking off the ground.
Thanks for everybodys help.
