Urethane primer help!

Hello! I am refinishing the hood on my truck and I am applying Finish Pro 2k urethane primer. Problem I have is that it seems to be going on very dry and although it seems to cover well the surface it very rough even dusty? I have a gravity feed gun, 1.7 tip and shooting per the tech sheet 40-50 psi. Never shot this kind of primer before, is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

P.S. after the 15 flash time it seems hard and I belive it will wet sand fine, but not sure yet. Thanks! Max
