Did not have an issue with damage, however, I sold a 1972 2002 tii to a fellow in Texas and the carrier called me from South Carolina and said he was going to pick the car up that afternoon (I live in SE Virginia near YORKTOWN) he said he had a pick up/drop off in Bradenton, FL, then on to Charleston, SC and then to me (this was at about 9:00 AM). I told him no way he could do that in the same day. Next day he calls me from Tallahassee, FL (about 10 AM) and says he wants to pick up the car that afternoon after a stop in Charleston SC (Charlesto is about 9 hours from me) I again said no way. To make a long story short two days later I am talking to him (by cell phone) on how to get to me, I did this about every two hours until he arrived. I handed over the car and he was going to Norfolk, VA, then to Vienna VA, then Charleston, WV and hoped to be back in TX the next day. I gave him a map of the Norfolk area and my Rand McNally atlas as this poor guy had no idea about distance. And the buyer paid good money for this haul.

A suggestion?
Take a couple of days off, get a one way plane ticket, and enjoy your first (or last as the case may be) drive. Smell the roses!!
