Front End noise Diagnosing

Driver side of my 94 Concorde 3.5

Wine begins at about 20mph is loudest @ 40mph and is barely audible @ 70MPH
No real vibration is detected. No clicking or clunking.

So this would tell me the CV joint is ok, a mechanic told me the wheel bearing was fine.

Purchasing new half shaft with new CV and tripod and boots is only $115 I ordered it hoping this will be it. I'm worried though that it might be the bushing inside the differential.

Can anyone put into words how the differet joints & bearings differ in noise when they fail. Or how can I diagnose this before taking everything apart.

Thanks in advance

While you have the system down I think you should replace the bearing in the wheel. I beleive that is where your problem lies. I had something similar.

Ya I think you are right... I have the new axle in and all back together.. noise is still there. Bearing/hub assembly will be here tuesday. I'll get that changed and post back the results Thanks
Cheers
