alternator belt went while driving

my girlfriends 900s 16v 93. alternator/water pump belt let go while she was driving. she made it home and i bought the belt and went over to repair it. the way its set up with the three belts is alternator/water pump, then the powersteering, then air conditioning moving outward from the motor on the crank pulley. i can not loosen the middle belt (power steering, i believe) enough to get it off. also i stripped the alternator adjuster bolt. that is not the big problem tho. could someone please tell me how to get this p/s belt off! much appreciated
