some highway pulls

Not really much to brag about. Was cruising on the highway and had a few pulls. First was an 02ish Maxima that was tailgating me at 85. I did a 6th gear pull and he kept up rather well until 110-115 then he dropped back. I slowed it down for some traffic, and let him catch up. Dropped it into 4th at 70mph and took off when he started tailgating me again. Short shifted into 5th and kept on it to about 125...at this point I had put a few bus lengths on him. He got next to me and we did a few more pulls, with similar outcomes. Then he started driving a bit more reckless when we approached traffic, so I let him lead and backed off a bit. A cop sighting and a 18 wheeler almost running me off the road slowed me down, and I lost sight of him.

Fast forward 75 miles. I get stuck behind some chick in a 06ish TSX. She was cute, but quickly became annoying when she wouldn't let me pass. She was cruising at 75/80ish, and I felt like going a bit faster, especially since she slowed down quite a bit for every banking turn in the road. I tried twice on the right, but both times she saw me swing out and slowed down or sped up just enough and I didn't want to do any stupid swerving. Finally the road opened up and I pulled up next to her. She winked and gunned it, I was 6th at 70 which equates to zero power, so I dropped a gear and reeled her in quickly in 5th, passed her and took it up to 120 just to distance myself.

Third, pulled up next to a beautiful black Carrera S coupe with a middle aged guy driving. I tried to get him to bite and for a second I thought he did, so I gunned it in midway through 3rd at full boost, but either he was just trying to get rid of me or he quit as quickly as he jumped, because by the time I hit 4th he wasn't trying anymore. I let off, shifted to 6th and slowly left him.

Last one was a 95ish Stang. I'm 90% sure it was just a v6, but I honestly was watchign the road more than his car. Just off one highway and hoping on another, I was at a light which had just turned green. I start off slow, then I see a blue blur fly by on my left. I go for 2nd, but miss :banghead: like an idiot. I pop it into gear and start to give chase. At this point I'm bus lengths back. I redline 2nd, redline 3rd and I'm reeling him in quick. Road takes a few banking turns and then goes into a chicane/ 'S' curve type thing. Which sucked, because it was obviously meant to keep people from doing speeds similar to the ones I was attempting in 4th. I got off it and braked, downshifted, came out back on the gas hard. The last bus length he had on me dissappeared almost immediately as I shifted back into 4th a bit over 100 and left him behind. I took it up to 125ish, but there really wasn't any point. We both slowed and exchanged thumbs up, etc. Couldn't really hear anything he was trying to say, because I have a massive downpipe leak. I turned off at the next exit and that was that.

Nice runs. It was cool that the stang driver gane you a thumbs up, but i bet the cop scared the crap out of you, actually i know he did you told us in the 3/S forum lol.

Was following a silver c6 through traffic today trying to line up...but some gereatric in a damn minivan decided to ruin my fun and cut me off and then do 10 under the speed limit until c6 had put a few traffic lights between us. :disappoin

Those runs were ok, but I just wanna have a decent race...it's been sooooo long

i know how you feel, i havn't killed anything in awhile.
like you said i got into it with a vette, but it wasnt a real race..though i did shock him by staying right on his ass after he punched it lol....nice runs though igovert
