Thanks to e_powers (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=370518), LMP (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=196380) and this forum I was able to replace the timing belt on my 2001 KIA Sportage 4x4
Downloading the information to replace the timing belt was just what I was looking for.
Now my Sportage needs a new clutch, and I would like to replace it myself so here I am again seeking help.
I'm looking for a manual that has information on clutch repair/replacement? Can I purchase it from KIA?
I think $600 to $700 to take it to a shop is a little more than I can afford, however I really wouldn’t mind paying to have it done right if I could just find a reliable KIA mechanic near Seattle. I have never changed a clutch. So my first questions are, can I do this at home by myself and does it require any special tools?

you are very welcome.
you might get lucky and score an actual kia manual on ebay. stay away from the cds. they are junk i think any manual from 98-2001 should work for you.
