Ok I did what you guys told me to do.. And I ended up putting a new alternator and battery in my car!!! But the battery keeps on dying! The Juice isnt being delived to the battery! They told me that the S.I . Board batterys would also drain my car battery, so we replaced those.. And still same problem.. I seem to have this problem of it dying usually at night... Because it drove fine for 3 days, but then I drove it one night.. And had my lights on for the 30 min drive and the car started actuing stupid... It would idal up and down, and then engin would rev.. sparadically.. keep in mind this was 8pm.. Well I think turn my lights off.. SO im driving in the dark, on a little 2 lane farm road in the middle of California.. And the car stoped reving crazy, and everything was cool.. So I was about 4 miles from my house, when the car would just not accelerate anymore.. And it felt like it was choaking.. And finally it just died! And would not start.. I called my parents got a jumpstart and got home.. Today, 3 days later.. I started my car and it was running good for awhile, and it died.!!! Help guys what can the problem be? Could it be a relay? Help!! My parents were thinking about getting a new bmw for themselves... But they are like.. it its anything like your car forget it!! They want me to get an american car, and I refuse! SO I have to figure out how to fix it !!!

Thanks!! Mail me plz!!

9 times out of 10 the fault with electrical systems is the battery and/or the alternator. Unfortunately, you have the 1 out of 10. Personally, I would take the car to a BMW dealer or automotive electronics expert and have the system checked professionally. If I had to do it myself, I would get a wiring diagram, an electrical system repair manual, and the right tools (a good volt/ohmmeter can do most things). Then, I would check every component. I would probably start with the on-board computer (above the glovebox) only because it controls most things.

I hope this helps, and I wouldn't give up on BMWs. These cars are very reliable (I could tell you a lot of stories) and electrical problems like yours are rare.
