I've changed brakes before, but i was working on my sisters 2001 nissan altima SE and i wasnt able to get the damn rear caliper off. I have to change her rotors and pads sometime this week and was just looking to see if anyone had some advice. i removed the wheel, then i took the two bolts off that are holding the caliper in place, but it just wouldnt move. i didnt see any other bolts taht i would have to remove to get the caliper to budge, but i could be wrong. i personally have owned subaru's since i got my license, and thats all ive really worked on. if anyone out there has any advice, please post!!

Thanks a bunch.

Pete:wink:

The caliper piston won't push back into the caliper to slide over the lip worn on the rotor because of the parking brake screw inside. Try using the edge of a screw driver to turn the piston in (without stabbing the dust boot) or remove enough of the ridge to allow the pads to slide past the ridge.
