A relatively mild set of heads intake manifold and a cam should get you to 320+

Do you want 320 fwhp or 320 rwhp? Theres a big difference there. For an easy 320 rwhp I'd say get a Vortech S-trim centrifugal supercharger, Pulley it for about 8psi, maybe throw a catback exhaust system on the car, and go oast some tires. With a tune of course. You will need a tune for any modifications that will net you that kind of power.

Heads, cam and intake are gonna cost more cause if your doing all that it wouldnt make sense not to up the throttle body, mass air, and injectors, and at that point your probably over $5,000. the 5.0. in the 95 was rated at 205 fwhp which probably translates to around 170 rwhp. so you would need to get 150rwhp from the modification which isnt gonna happen with just the s-trim and 8 pounds of boost but it should get you close to 300 fwhp. The Heads would be great complement to the supercharger but they are not cheap. Twisted Wedge heads start at over $1,100, but the nice thing about it is they will give you quite abit more horse power and also save you 40 pounds.

Not if you hang around turbomustangs.com long enough. There are people on there with sub-$2000 junkyard turbo setups making enough power to split the stock 302 blocks. That usually means 500+rwhp/tq.

320 flywheel horsepower is fairly easy, but that only equates to about 260rwhp with 19% driveline loss. If you want 320rwhp, that means you'll need a solid 400fwhp engine. Assuming you can do all the assembly yourself, that will probably cost anywhere from $2500-3500 for a n/a engine. I bought my entire engine as a kit that I put together(roller shortblock w/new block, forged pistons). Including the heads, intake, carb, headers, cam, aluminum flywheel, damper, etc, it cost around $3500. The same engine fot you would probably cost more due to the EFI stuff like injectors, MAF, AFPR, and U/L intakes.

You might be able to find a bolt-on twin turbo kit for as little as $3000, but most like more. They often need some kind of exhaust modification and they don't always include fuel upgrades, so assume you'll have to buy that stuff on top of the kit cost. Ideally you would find a used Incon twin turbo kit, but those are in VERY high demand. They were truly bolt-on and are the only Mustang turbo kits that are smog legal here in Kalifornia. The company dried up, so supply is low and prices for used kits are approaching what they sold for new.

Yes, but you have to be able to fab! Can you fab a complete turbo system? I bet the guy asking the question cannot!

That's true, not everyone can do the fabrication. However, if someone wants to cut the dollars-per-horsepower, labor is the most effective place to start. I'm saying everyone and their dog is capable of building a turbo setup, but some ill-equipped people actually do get it done. Case in point:

There is a guy on turbomustangs that I could swear is an official retard, yet he managed to hang two T3 turbos on his Fox3 GT. He actually started off by using JB Weld to "weld" the exhaust together. I know, he had no business even touching a car, but it eventually got sorted out with lots of help from the forums. I'm not sure if it ever ran, though. :bloated:

A bolt-on blower probably would need the fewest engine mods and would be easier to find in a whole kit with fuel parts. It should be easy to get well over 300rwhp with one.

I doubt he is a tard. I read those posts, I have spent many hours on that site. I agree a blower is the easiest and cheapest if you can get a hold of a good used S-trim. You can install that in a day.

I know where a good used S-trim is, and its still for sale! Pullied for 14psi at the moment, but a pulley change can make it more friendly. Check my add in the classifieds if you are interested.
