renault clio windscreen wipers

i have a renault clio 1.4 16v alize
i am trying to remove the windscreen wiper arms & when i have removed the nut at the bottom of the wiper i can't get the arm off
can anyone help?

lift the wiper off the screen , with one hand on the bit that is not sticking up in the air and the other hand on the bit sticking in the air wiggle in ALL directions and apply brute force upwards. it will eventually come, dont be afraid of breaking anything you really need to give it some welly.

thanks for the advice but ended up taking it to a friends garage where he did it in about 10 seconds flat
