I just rebuilt a Chevy 350 for my 79 trans am, bored 40 over, flat top forged pistons, comp cam, edelbrock intake, holly carb, holly fuel pump...etc. Anyways, I got it running the other day got it tuned and timed, went to put the car into reverse(automatic trans) and the rpms dropped really low and died, I checked all my vacuum lines they all look good.

Is there some other reason, that I keep over looking, to why it keeps dying when you put it in gear but runs just fine when in park or neutral.

It's the Pontiac telling you it doesn't LIKE the Chevy motor... (:-

No, seriously, it can be a couple of things. What cam? What heads? Which Holley? Which intake? Stall converter? Need A LOT MORE information. Please be specific. The more info you provide, the easier it will be to narrow it down.

Skater,

NEED those cam specs. That sounds like too much cam for the converter, but need numbers.

What is the FCC number on your remote?

KOBUT1BT or ABO1502T?
