Sounds like your alt was generating way too much voltage for some reason and fried the wire... I'd get your alt tested.

HEY HEY k i figured out the prob.. ur all wrong lol..

k u know how when u put intake on.. if u dont use the braket it kinda rests on the positive terminal?? well mine was restin on the terminal (with that little red cover thing protecting it) and i guess the voltage ate through it and went through the whole body of the car and then grounded out at the battery ground, eating the ground wire.. sorry it wasnt the positive battery wire.. i was in a rush and i didnt even think about which terminal was whihc.,.. well whatever... its all good now.. im VERY glad to see all those replies in just an hour... thanks guys, its nice to know i can actually almost depends on people for this stuff.

Which is why my intake is kind of close to the positive terminal, but far enough away that it wont fuck anything up.

relocate the battery to the trunk. it takes less than 30 minutes.

why not jsut turn the battery around so the positive is in the front and the negative is touching the intake

You may have knocked out a couple of fuses. Just look under the dash and on the box under the hood and check them all out, replace as nessary, and you'll be good to go!
