Moments of losing power when cold

Ok Ive been trying to figure this problem out for awhile now. It seems like my issue only happens when my truck is semi-cold. When I give it gas it seems like my truck loses power from the engine for a second or two. I'll be pumping the gas and it doesnt respond then it kicks in and my truck drives fine. I've had the tranny, rear dif, and transfer case checked and their both cherry. I replaced my mass airflow sensor and it still doing it. It only happens once or twice and week and my truck isnt throwing a single code. Anyone had anything like this happen to them before?

Check your running fuel pressure. Make sure the maf isn't getting oiled by the K and N filter.

Yeah I did. I removed the K&N and replaced the MAF.

I would get something like that, but typically it is the tranny stuck in high gear. And it will not throw out any codes.. It doesn't happen all the time, but have noticed it on more than one occasion.
When was the last time you did a tranny flush?

The same was happening to my truck. Only once and awhile - on cold mornings. A vey slight dead spot in the throttle.

I was also throwing a maf code, and I do have the K & N set up.

Cleaned the filter, used very little oil and cleaned the maf with TB cleaner and sprayed with electrical contac cleaner.

So far so good. Did this last winter.

Yeah mines not throwing any codes thats why its leading me to believe more and more it has to do with getting gas supplied to the engine. I took off the K&N and put in a new MAF...still doing it..its really weird..

Ill try..its a cheap fix. Also my engine has stalled on me a few times when i first start it up. I try to give it a little gas and i hear a popping sound coming from the Air Filter box and the engine almost seems like its choking itself down..anyone heard of anything about engines incorrectly choking themselves?

Another thing you might try is rebooting the VCM. Remove the neg battery cable for 30-45 mins. Just throwing stuff out there..........Steve
