Ok ladies and gentalmen,

I own a 1994 Pontiac Sunbird LE with a 2.0L 4 banger with 126,000, well recently i needed to do some work to the car. It was running rough so I changed the spark plugs (Autolight Platinum), Wires (Bosch), Air Filter (Fram Air Hog), O2 Sensor (Bosch), Catalytic Converter (Walker, needed to be replaced alot of rattleing was going on), Mas Air Flow Sensor (just to be safe), Battery (it was 8 years old it was gonna die anyways) and Valve Cover Gasket (Felpro, the old cork one was leaking). Well anyways, after I spent 8 hours on the car, it didn't want to start, I cleaned the air intake, primed it, it didn't want to kick. So I'm scratching my brain trying to figure out what could be going wrong. The only thing I can think of is that the timing might be off, but there is no Cap and Rotor I don't know how to adjust it. What could this little 4 banger be telling me is wrong, it ran fine the other day but today it don't want to kick. Anyone got any ideas?????? PLEASE HELP NEED IT FOR WORK!!!!!

There are a couple of issues that may be causing the issue. First check to see if you have fuel. Spray starting fluid into the throttle body while someone cranks the engine if it starts it is fuel pump related. If not then you need to check the ignition side. Make sure that the wires are connected properly and that the battery connections are good. Based on what you did to the car there is nothing that was done that should have caused the no start condition. Unless they gave you the wrong MAF sensor but that shouldn't stop it from starting. Make sure to check all grounds!!

:banghead: Well I just got done checking everything, I replaced the Mass Airflow Sensor, with another one (bought a new one upgraded from stock), Checked the voltage from the fuel pump (not to hard to locate), checked to see if fuel was going to the injectors (which there was I was 1 pound OVER what the book says), checked all the grounds and regrounded them to another location on the frame, and even tried the starting fluid bit, with no luck. I'm thinking about sending this car to a early grave. The car will not turn over, when the starting fluid was applied the car would sputter but not kick. When it did want to kick there was some smoke coming out of it. Before all this happened and it didn't want to kick, it did turn over for about 20 seconds and then cut out. This little 4 banger is kicking my butt :banghead:, I'm thinking of taking 2 gallons of gas out of the tank and pouring it over it and having a pig roast :evillol:! I think I'm gonna go back to a 350 for the ease of working on, or my old 454 in the garage if I can't get this little 4 banger to run!

Happened with my car after I rebuilt the engine. It was the TPS sensor combined with a bad electrical ground on the cylinder head...

maybe your ECM is not working. and possibly your catalytic converter is all plugged up. I just recently removed my catalytic converter and now have a basic muffler system. converters and clog up and cause sputtering, stalling, and fuel problems.
