Hi,
I just found this forum doing a search. I'm trying to find out what the torque setting is for the swaybar link on my '92 Caprice Wagon. The old one fell off(It wasn't broke, just missing the nut off the end of the bolt), so I decided to put the new one pretty tight. I stopped turning the wrench when the nut seemed to stop getting harder to turn.

Front or rear swaybar? If it's the front swaybar, you tighten it until the end-link bushings (4 per side) begin to distort.

It's the front one. The mechanic who put the last one on must have just squished the rubbers. I put this one on a little tighter. I'm always afraid to overtighten things, having broken too many of them.
