I am wanting to do a tune up myself. I did it a few years ago with a friend but he has since moved away and I don't think I remember fully the steps we took.

I want to change the plugs and boots is there anything else I should change out? Also can someone give me the steps to change out my plugs.

I assume you are speaking of a tune-up on a 4 cyl. To change the plugs, remove the center cover and remove the connectors from the plugs. Remove and reinstall the plugs. Check for proper gap and regap as needed. Make sure to do this with a cold engine as the head is aluminum and you can damage the threads. Add as little antiseize to the threads and tighten appropriately. The boots are not hard to change simply remove the old ones and reinsert new ones. Plug everything back in and secure the cover. Start the car.

If you have a PVC valve and you have not changed it recently now would be a good time.
