Starting Problem after Fill up

Each time I fill up with gas my car will not start. It usually takes two or three attempts to start before it will turn over. This has been happening for probably 6 months, and it happens every time I fill with gas (even if it's only a 1/2 tank). I have never had a problem starting the car other than when filling it up. I have mentioned it to mechanics/dealers anytime I take the car in, but of course they can't reproduce the problem (even though I tell them it ONLY happens when I fill with gas - I thought they would be smart enough to try to put gas in it and check it, but I guess not).
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? It's not a major problem now but I'm afraid it might be a sign of something else to come...
Thanks

Welcome to AF.
One suggestion is to check the fuel pressure at the front fuel injector rail Schrader valve on the fuel pressure regulator after you fill up and make sure it is in specs. Another is to remove the fuel pump assembly and check the condition of it and whether you have any contamination in the gas tank. Another possibility is a problem with the evaporative emissions and fuel tank vent system even though no DTCs are set or SES light.
