'92 Auto to Manual 5 spd. Transmission Swap

So I've been told that the awkward shifting of my '92 RS is due to bad syncros, and am considering a swap to a 5-speed manual. I'm wondering what all ya'll know about this proceedure. From the little I've been able to find it seems that parts would have to be bought from many suppliers, and I'm sure there's a better answer. Preferably I'd like to do it cheap and swap in a good transmission from another camaro, and find the adapter plates etc. to do this. So, what's the full story?

Thanks,
Jeff

why don't you just get the syncos replaced?

easiest way is to buy a camaro that is already a manual.

Probably be the cheapest way too.

by the way, auto's are faster than sticks.

Like stated it'll be easier to sell your car and buy a Manual. If your just trying to get out of the cost to rebuild your tranny the cost to swap to a manual will be three times more. just my .02 cents. Besides Manuals impress High school kids and automatic wins races.
