I'm thinking of getting an aftermarket (K&N, AirRaid, etc)air intake system for my 05 dodge hemi and was wondering if anybody maybe has some first hand suggestions or opinions and does the throttle body spacer with the new air intake really make the claimed difference?

get , the k&n cold air intake for the truck it will help your gas millage a little not a lot but you will feel the throttle respond quicker. also, get the msd 8.5 spark plug wires for the thing trust me on this it will make her run like she has no panties on if u know what i mean

you sayin' 8.5 wires alone will make it run better as oppose to the factory wires? I ask cuz I got spark knock when i let it idle for awhile (15+min) and take off w/ 1/4+ throttle until i drive it for about 5 min. then its not nearly as bad but its stil there alittle bit........no matter what octane i use although w/ high octane its not as bad.

Check out this website. Dodgeram.org
then go to "Tech Menu", then "modifications" then scroll down to "gasoline engines". Finally click on "DIY Custom ABS Cold Air Intake"
I followed the steps and installed one two months ago on my Ram 1500 4X4 and I could tell the difference right away. Gas mileage, throttle response and horse power. There are other modifictions you can do to improve engine performance but I think most start off with an air intake upgrade. I saved about $200+ dollars with this one compared to going "all" K&N. Just the actual filter is K&N and I bought that new for $40.00 on EBAY.
Good Luck!
