XBox 360 Wireless Controller Problems!

I wonder if anyone has had this glitch yet... I just got 2 wireless controllers from EBay for my 360, used, but barely a scratch on them. They are original with authentic serial numbers and light up and everything. My 360, however, refuses to detect them, and vice versa...I was wondering if anyone is aware if bluetooth tech on the 360 has ever malfunctioned like this before?

I just recently got some wireless ones for my xbox and have had no problem with it detecting them... The first time it was being gay and I reset it a few times and then it was ok... I haven't heard of the 360's having any problems though.

Maybe the fact that you bought them on ebay has something to do with it. They were probably being sold for the same problem you're having.

I doubt it. I have logged over 120 transactions on EBay since the past 5 years for numerous items (from a 6-bolt race block to USB drives), and believe it or not, I have never once (knock on wood) recieved a defective item.

Plus, the fact that the seller left me positive feedback for immediate payment (scammers will delay to leave feedback until you leave them some first), and the fact that he appears to "specialize" in 360 wireless controllers (in lots of twos, with zero negative feedback for any of the other controllers he's sold), have me convinced that something else is going on... I did not reset my console a single time however...I'll try that tonight.

Also, anyone else have Halo2 Live? We should all play sometime! That'd be sick...create an "AF" clan :smokin:

Not all of us can afford an X-box 360.

Some of us have to spend all our money on our cars.

But since someone got rid of their DSM, *cough cough* I don't expect them to know anything about that. ;)

Haha. Do I really need to say "been there, done that" ? :p But I gotta tell ya, it's amazing how your savings suddenly start to grow when your DSM-less, and you discover a whole new world outside your car. Yeah, so my bank called me the other day. They were shocked to see money in my account actually stay there for more than 24 hours, and they wanted to know if everything was alright...

That's awesome, I'd get the same call if I had some money in mine too...:banghead:

with the wireless controller make sure ur pushing the small button on the controller hard enough to get it to click, if not call 1800-4my-xbox and tell them you have 2 defective controllers they will send you new ones in about 3 days for free, same thing happend to me i thought i had a defective controller so i called and get them to say ok were sending u a new controller and then i try the controller again and it worked turns out i didnt push the button in all the way, so in 3 days i got a free new controller lol!

My fault. I had to synch both the controllers, and the 360 at the same time to get them to detect.

New problem. One of the EBay controllers has some sort of malfunction. It'll randomly throw gernades, fire, etc, without those buttons being depressed, like it has a mind of it's own. I'll call that number soon. The controller looks new, and works, but it seems like a manufacturer glitch with all the unwanted "autofire" stuff going on.
