Road rage at rush hour

I wouldn't believe it if i did not see it with my own eyes.

picture it: rush hour on a 3 lane limited access highway, dusk in NYC.

I am in the middle lane, cars all around me, a typical yellow NYC cab pulls up next to me we are at a red light, for some reason something catches my eye so I look left toward the taxi, the driver is a middle eastern guy I say about 30 years old, he has a female passenger in the back seat. What catches my eye is there this young Italian guy that came out of nowhere tapping on his window, which is strange since its a limited access road so he must have come out of a car, anyway the cab driver rolls down the window and out of freaking nowhere the guy says some derogatory ethic remark to him and punches the taxi driver. I'm like oh crap, wtf. The punk goes back to his black spanking shiny new lexus.
The cab driver I swear no lie, turns off the taxi meter, turns to the lady and says something, (I guess he said the fare is on me lady) :lol: then next thing I see is he puts the car in reverse and puts the pedal to the metal and rams the lexus in reverse BANG, direct hit. I am like damnnnn, wtf . The taxi driver gets out and walks to the lexus and starts banging and breaking the drivers side glass trying to get to the guy. At this point I left since I was being honked by everyone since the light turned green, but never in my life here in NY have I seen such road rage.

I can only imagine the passenger in the taxi, she was probably scared out of her wits, besides the whiplash she got.
Drving about 4 blocks away I see the cops driving past me toward the scene.

At the moment it was a bit surreal and scary, cause it happened so fast, who knows if either one had a weapon, but later on I could not stop laughing, thinking that the taxi driver thought "oh no he didn't, he did not just punch me in the face", turn to the lady and say "brace yourself its gonna be a bumpy ride". :lol:

Dizamn. Road rage is a crazy sometimes. You never know what the next guy is gonna do. About two months ago a cab driver jumped stupid with me and then sped off like a botch when I got out of the car (I was parked at the time). Then there was the two times I got in fights in McDonalds drive thru after leaving the club (highly entertaining for the mickey d's workers I'm sure).

Then there was the time I lost a road rage face off. Some idiot in a Lincoln LS was being a Grade A ass in traffic when I was on my way home from a very frustrating day at work. I drove slowly waiting for him to just pass me by but he seemed to really want a race or somethin, riding my bumper, swerving at me etc. So at the next red light I lost it, I jumped out of the car and started walking toward the LS, then three doors open and I see the car is packed 5 deep and the two front seat kids had brass knuckles on. I chalked that one up and got back in the car. But that incident only further solidified my hatred for spoiled rich kids :shakehead

When I was about 17 I passed this jeep, after that he road my but for about 5 miles. As soon as we stoped at a light three guys jumped out and started punching and kicking my car :yikes:

I just locked the doors realy quick(manually on a 4 door :shakehead) Glad the glass didnt break!
I believe they were drunk because they thought they'd play chicken with my car, for a minute. Then they took off never to be seen again.

They speed up and start pacing me. I hate that, so i speed up to about 90 they ride my but, i back down to speed limit 65 then to 55, would not pass me, at times was so close i couldn't see thier headlights from my tailgate. It's about 10 Pm by the way. So I'm sick of it, she won't get off me ass, i tap the breaks multiple times, still right there, so when it's clear i drift into the oncomming lane and slam on the breaks....I just leave my brights on for a while like they did did me. My buddy is like fuck with her, so I turn off my lights, Full moon so i can see well, plus her head lights. They speed up over a hill as soon as they are out of sight i turn on my lights again and punch it, and just follow them into town. We hit the first red light and they won't look over, just one person, a college age girl, finally looks over and we are just smiling and waving, she smiles and gets on the free way...I bet she don't tailgate someone ever again, i'm guessing she was scared..haha

i love it when someone rides your ass, then the road goes into two lanes and they just hang in your blincspot doing the exact same speed as you, good job buddy, you're now going just as fast as before but now you're blocking everyone behind you from passing, as well as only being about 4 feet ahead of what you were. i hate stupid drivers, like poeple who do 40 in a 50. in my little town, there's one main street (called main street, hard to believe eh) anyways, for some reason 50kph is too fast for old people, i get tonnes of old farts just puttering along at 40kph when everyone else does 60kph.
another problem was that i'd drive by the old folks playground (got old person games there) every day for work, and every once in a while i'd get stuck behind some person doing 40kph in an 80, that's just plain stupid. i mean it's more dangerous and they're more likely to get hit and killed than if they were doing the normal 90-100kph. damn old people (not all of them, i love alot of them, just that some seem to have gotten even dumber as they aged)

Actually Taxi's are covered by a large comprehensive insurance policy, espically if there are passengers in the cab. So the driver proably only has to pay the $100 or so deductable. Now if he get's to keep his chauffer's license is another story...
